yes two boxes. why not go half way and dye it brown and put some streaks in it. oh hair will turn green if your blonde was a yellow or honey blond and you used as ash brown. ash has blue tone. and what do you get when you mix blue and yellow. GREEN / i know i did this once years ago. i was getting dressed to go out and my daughter said mommie did you know your hair is green. not good, at least on this planet.

Go with a color that is a natural base and stay away from colors that say ash. The ash is what makes your hair green. Also get two boxes just to be safe.

1 box but leave it on longer

and i belive its a good idea to go for at least 4 shades lighter than your natural color because it will show up 2 shades lighter after you wash it out srry if you wanted guys advice but my hair is quite short and ive colored it numerous times

Go to a hairdresser to get the perfect colour you desire, but 2-3 boxes should do the trick.

Use a gold base brown, nothing ashen. You may want to fill it first. Take a golden colour that is lighter than the colour you want. Mix with water, not peroxide. apply to hair. Let sit for about 10 15 mins. Get as much off as you can with an old towel. Mix your colour you want and apply over it and process normally.

when you are switching drastically you wanna do it gradually. start with lighter brown low-lites. don't use two boxes and think that will work. hair can only take so much. plus it will come out green again. so be slow and patient.

I too have natural brown hair but have been blonde for 10 yrs and have just decided to go back %26amp; I was told I would have to put a red through first even a rinse, before the brown or it could go green.Natural brown hair has red pigment in it, which has to be put back, me too learnt this the hard way.

I would start off by not shopping at Wal-Mart, try a beauty supply store. Because you have been dying your hair blonde, your hair is porous and is going to soak up more of the base color. By shopping at a beauty supply store you can see what base color is in the shade. For example, golden brown would have a yellow or orange base. Ash brown would have a blue green base. Natural Brown would have a violet base...etc...I would also suggest purchasing a filler because it will fill in the porous hairs to allow A more even coloring from root to end. Fillers can be nuetral, or toned in black or brown, they can also be purchased to keep the brassiness color toned down. Hope this HELPS! I dyed my hair blonde for 10years!

I do hair, and I would never sug. doing it yourself. ( At least till you get your hair back to normal and learn what to do. )

When you color at home do you always color from root to ends, or do you only retouch your roots? If you do, your hair is probably pretty unhappy with you.

There are more colors than you think in brown hair so, if for instance, on a scale from 1-10, (one being darkest) you are a 9, and you want to go to a 7, you need to add the underlying pigments a natural 7(brown) color has, or it gets gray green or muddy!.............I could go on forever! Honey, go to a salon and do it the right way there really is more to it than you might think!

I think you should go to a hair salon and have it done. yea it might cost a little extra but hey, it will look good and they will make sure to get all of it.
