im going for a photo shoot in london. nd about a month ago i got my hair died red, its faded a lot but i think my hair looks better brown on pictures..

my mum said if i keep dyeing it it'll make my hair bad.

and im scared it might go wrong lol.

what should i do?

i die my hair every 8 weeks and my hair is fine

i always go to the hairdressers u should avoid using bleach as it drys your hair out but a chocolate brown hair dye and a trim it would be fine.. and no 1 likes faded red hair dye no offence looks tacky! u should defo dye your hair!!

Dye it brown. and if you like that reddish tint there are henna treatment shampoos that give a natural reddish tint to brown hair which looks gorgeous :)

go to a salon, they can color your hair back to almost natural, then leave it alone.

The problem with dyeing your hair is once you start dyeing it, you have to keep dyeing. I used to dye my hair, but I just let it grow out to my natural color, which was different than what it used to be because of the hair dye. So if you want to go back to your natural color, dye it once to a color close to that color and leave it alone.

The less you die your hair the better it with be because it's chemicals. If you want to die it back to brown only do it once again and leave it like that otherwise your haie will be in such bad condition.

Red is a hard color to cover up, even when it's faded. As long as you get it trimmed at least every 4-8 weeks, it should not damage it. If you are going to go back brown, to cover most of the red you need to use an Ash Brown. Golden brown will bring out the red a little more, but if you don't mind it still having some red in it, then it would be fine. Remember not to go to dark, though. Yes, you can. Use a semi pem color though, a deposite only color..nothing with 20 delveloper...Since you already have red, your color will turn out fine..Red is a good base for going back to brown...All depends on what shade of brown you want..If you have a bright red on now, use something in the 5-6 levels, which would be med brown to light...I would use a level 6.
