Dying hair brown when its black?

ok so i dyed my hair black

so its..like back black

but i think i want to dye it back to brown

if i do, do you think it'll show much? or still look black?

Dying hair brown when its black?

You can't just pick up a bottle of brown and dye your hair and expect it will be lighter. You will have to go to a professional salon now and have the black taken out of your hair, which could cause your hair damage, so be careful who you choose to do this.

Once you go black...it's hard to go back LOL

Dying hair brown when its black?

It will show if you bleach it first. It will surely look brown. It will look the same if you do not bleach it however.

How do I turn reddish hair brown--"ash toner or not to ash toner"?

SEE HISTORY BELOW:-)

I basically want to grab a few red hair pieces around my bangs and turn them more neutral brown. ( It isn't gold or brassy- as I already tried a toner with blue/violet base- so now it is cool red- not warm in tone). SHould I use ash toner w/ developer?

*************

I have naturally light blonde hair- and went to the salon to get darker low lights put in for the fall/winter. Hair stylists always struggle because my hair is so light, and fine, and many times you can barely see the color or it fades with in a few weeks.

This time my stylist decided she needed to use a darker level so the color would keep and used filler colors somewhat lighter in between.

It was too drastic for me at first, so I went back after 3 days and just had her do some tricks and bring back some more blonde- .Only issue is some of the pieces were reddish copper around my face vs. brownish. After toner they are red/cool. I want it to blend in more a ligher brown. Can ash base toner help

How do I turn reddish hair brown--"ash toner or not to ash toner"?

yes an ash based toner would help however you need to apply carefully and really watch it. if the toner gets onto the blonder areas you could turn green or gray or just a muddy color..go back to your stylist and have her fix it...she should not charge you and with her already knowing what she has put into your hair would be the safes route..this would not be something i would try at home or you'll have an even bigger mess.

I wouldn't use a toner myself..toners do only that..tone. they fade out quick.. it sounds like you need a little more punch in order to get it to stay. Have her foil in a light brown color with half ash half neutral base..she will need to use 2 diff colors and mix them together. apply for 20 min. and check..she needs to rinse and dry one spot to check the color.. if not it..re apply to that section and leave another 5 minutes..keep checking diff. sections..

How do I turn reddish hair brown--"ash toner or not to ash toner"?

You could make your hair unhealthy and end up unhappy. You said your hair is naturally blonde, you went to a salon and get

darker lowlight, then when back again to lighten it up it means that your color have been remove, the you want not ash base

this could lead you to a green shade. If I were you, I will rest my hair for awhile.

Dyeing my hair brown?

Every time i dye my hair brown, it goes back lighter and i really think darker hair looks better for my hair. So, how can i stop it from getting lighter?

Is it true the cheaper hair dyes work better?

Dyeing my hair brown?

Thats really hard. I had the same problem. Try going with a darker brown than you have been using. It takes a few times for it to grab before it sticks, but no matter what you do it will fade. Also make sure you don't use anything that has the words "golden" or "ash". The golden will make it to brassy and the ash will make it look slightly green. You want something more chocolatey. I would say it is better to go to a proffesional but sometimes they aren't really that good. Good Luck

Dyeing my hair brown?

you can use color prolonging shampoos and conditioners, but you're going to have to dye ite about every 6 weeks if it's anything other than your natural color.

Dyeing my hair brown?

no cheaper hair dies dnt work better...

and every color is darker for a few days and then fades to its true color..

my best advice go for a darker color itll fade after a few days

also maybe what color is your hair, and what kind of brown do you want your hair? 3 or a 2 or maybe a 4 well 1 is black

ne questions email me @ imonlyblonde2anextent@yahoo.com

Dyeing my hair brown?

No cheaper isn't always better. Check to make sure you are leaving the color on long enough. Also if you aren't you might every other time you color pull the color all the way down you hair shaft. It is important that you don't pull the color throught everytime because you then will see the mulicolors start to appear and also if you ever want to change the color it will be hard.Look into going a level darker then the color you are using.

It is hard to tell also because I am not sure if you are talking about the hair color after you have worn it for a few weeks or so. Also see into buying a color treated shampoo

Dyeing my hair brown?

Have you tried to pick a really dark color? If you find that doesn't work, you should go to a salon. I've dyed my hair to a spicy red, I love it, but the only problem it that it won't stay long. So my next opion is to go to the salon and pay the big buck's, so that the color will last a lot longer then doing it myself

Dyed my hair brown and now have green highlights. How do I get them out?

I had blonde hair with highlights but my natural color has been getting darker and darker over the last two years. I've given up trying to stay blonde and wanted to return to my now brown root color. I went through 3 colors to find the right one to match my new/natural brown color. I used a neutral shade (Wella 411). In the sunlight it is a beautiful dark brown, a shade lighter than my eyebrows, with shimmers/highlights of copper. In flourescent lighting it's green!!! Without dying again or doing anything harsh is there any option? Will the green go away if I do nothing? I bought a shampoo with red/brown in it but that's only good for each shampoo. And what about a henna? Thanks!

Dyed my hair brown and now have green highlights. How do I get them out?

hehe sorry this has happened to me too I was in hardressing school and didnt know about this but now i do so let me share....

when you dye your hair blond its bleach what it does is it strips you natural hair colour from the hair cell leaving just the hair cell so when you put brown hairdye on top the brown dye has nothing to hold to because the bleach stripped it away now if you think about it if you have a yellow crayon and you put brown over it what colour does it turn ?? .. ... ..GREEN! eww lol and thats what happened so in order to get rid of this you need a RED tone not exactly red but something with a red tint in .... since you already dyed over the blond your going to have to mix it and just leave it on for a few minutes and a few weeks later if you do see a little bit red tones just dye it brown again but give it some time so you dont fry your hair but in future reference you dont need to mix the red with the developer cream just use the colour that you mix into the sqeeze bottle and put it in your hair and blot it out with paper towels and then go ahead and put in your brown mixed with the developer. Trust me I did this and my hair was so green i looked like a witch! i cried lol but we figured it out.... Why Red you ask???? Because in a Natural Brown hair colour there is a undertone coulour under it thats why when you bleach your hair you see it lift through different colours before it goes blond so red is a brown undertone a more ligt colour like dirty blond would have more of a orangy undertone! Anyways Good Luck!!!!!!

Dyed my hair brown and now have green highlights. How do I get them out?

Henna might help, although most helpful approach is to invest in a good hair colorist at reliable hair salon and consider at home maintenance afterward.

Dyed my hair brown and now have green highlights. How do I get them out?

Do NOT use henna. It stains the hair and damages dyed hair. What works to get green out is red. Mix 1 oz. auburn dye with whatever shade of brown you want. Just make sure you use two of the same product line (ie both loreal feria). Hope that helps.

Dyed my hair brown and now have green highlights. How do I get them out?

okay all u have to do is like keep washing your hair and it will eventually come out!

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, what shade of brown should I dye my hair?

My natural hair color is an ash blonde but my eyebrows are a shade darker than that, my skin tone is fair and I dyed my hair a golden brown but looked more red/brown. I would just like a light brown color without it turning red.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, what shade of brown should I dye my hair?

depends on your eye color.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, what shade of brown should I dye my hair?

Don't buy anything that says "chestnut" in it's description, I made that mistake and it turned out reddish and I HATED it!

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, what shade of brown should I dye my hair?

go to a professional and have them match your eyebrows what they put on will be the right shade.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, what shade of brown should I dye my hair?

Whenever you want to dye your hair, make sure that it is not too dark or too light. Always dye it a shade or two darker or lighter. So, I would go for a light brown.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, what shade of brown should I dye my hair?

Use a brown that has no red under tones. These are hard to calculate. If I were you the first time you dye go to a hairdresser and and then follow their instructions.

Ash brown has no red.

Can I dye my hair brown after dying it black that has faded?

I dyed my hair black 3 months ago but its been fading back to a dark brown. To help take out the black, I've been using sun-in to lighten it. Now my hair is a dark reddish brown. Is it possible to dye it an ashy brown successfully? Or should I lighten it more? Thanks in advance

Can I dye my hair brown after dying it black that has faded?

The only way it's going to work is if you go to a professional beauty store, ask an associate to help you find the current level of the color that is lightened. the only thing you can really do just using color would be to apply the same level of color over it, but with a different base (like you said, applying an ash over the red, which would cover the redness of it, but it would still be the level of darkness). i wouldnt be using sun-in for your hair.. thats horrible for your hair. if you want to really lighten, i'd go to a professional. lightening your color rarely ever works at home.

Can I dye my hair brown after dying it black that has faded?

sure, no harm there

Can I dye my hair brown after dying it black that has faded?

Taking dark hair lighter takes time and patience. You will need to lighten it a couple more times if it was pitch black before, if not, you will have splotches of different shades of brown and it looks horrible. You have to wait at least 2 weeks after lighting it to do it again, at least 2 or 3 times. Good luck.

Can I dye my hair brown after dying it black that has faded?

from experience NO, because I dyed my hair black 4 years ago, then I got bored of it (after around 4 or 5 month) my roots were overgrown (you could see my brown hair on my roots. when I tried to dyed it back to my hair color ( brown) it DI D NOT WORK! it made it worst! I have my roots super noticeable brown and the rest black, just like before... I just waited over 3 years to get ready of the black naturally... cutting my ends every 4 or 3 months. I will never dye my hair again

I dyed my hair brown about three weeks ago and i wanted it to be a very light shade of dark brown?

when i dyed it it turned like blakish brown and i loved it even though it was not the coloi want to redye it but is it too soonr i was going for the brand was revlon color silk but now like after a week and a half it faded to medium brown does anyone know if i dye my hair

A) will my hair fall out

B) if i use the same dye again will it turn another color because it is dyeing a darker shade this time

c)will my hair hold the color

please help

I dyed my hair brown about three weeks ago and i wanted it to be a very light shade of dark brown?

I'm Not Sure What You Mean By A "Light" Shade Of Dark Brown, There Is Light Brown, Medium Brown, And Dark Brown. If You're Talking About A "Soft" Shade Of Dark Brown That's A Dark Brown With Lighter Brown Highlights, Try Nice N' Easy庐 Or L'OREAL庐 Couleur Experte鈩?As Long As Your Hair Is In Good Condition It Should Be Allright To ReColor.

I dyed my hair brown about three weeks ago and i wanted it to be a very light shade of dark brown?

YOUR HAIR WON'T FALL OUT UNLESS YOU MISTREAT IT FOR A WHILE. THE SAME DYE WILL DO YOUR NEW GROWTH. USE SPECIAL SHAMPOO FOR COLOR TREATED HAIR AND IT WON'T LOOSE THE SHADE THAT YOU WANT. ALSO YOU DON'T NEED TO SHAMPOO IT EVERY DAY, TRY EVERY OTHER DAY.

I dyed my hair brown about three weeks ago and i wanted it to be a very light shade of dark brown?

why don't u try and use a shampoo for colored treated hair, it is made to keep colors from fading.

P.S.

If you do decided to redye you hair use something gentle like a rinse, or a color mousse. That way it wont harm your hair as much as a regular dye.

Dying your hair brown??!? And Hair Stylists out there?

my hair used to be blonde and then i dyed it medium brown and i lovee it , its soo much better. but the lady dyed it semi permanant so its been fading. i wanna get it dyed again but when she puts the dye on my hair will it make it darker or will it just cover the semi permanant and cover it up? bc i DONT want it darker. you know what i mean? will it make it darker by dying it over again? or should she strip it and just do it from scratch? thanks

Dying your hair brown??!? And Hair Stylists out there?

You can just dye it again with a permanent color of the same color. The color shouldn't change much. If it is a little darker you can use a cheap shampoo and it will fade it a bit.

Good Luck!

Dying your hair brown??!? And Hair Stylists out there?

If it's faded, she can probably dye it back to the color it was origionally dyed without it being that much darker.

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

so i have blonde hair but its not that light of a blonde and brown eyes and my dad used to say when i was a little kid all the adults would say how cute i look but now i just find having brown eyes and blonde hair weird? OPINIONS (btw u might say personality is what is important so, im outgoing but mostly just w/ my friends and im nice and smile a lot)

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

omg an evil girl in my school called lily taylor has blonde hair and brown eyes Report It

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

i think its really nice it looks good.

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

I don't think it's that strange at all. I have had several friends over the years with blonde hair and brown eyes. I think it's a very nice contrast, much like dark hair and light eyes.

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

Blonde hair and brown eyes isn't weird. I've always thought that brown-eyed, blonde guys were attractive, so I would think that guys would probably think it was attractive in a girl. Work with what you got and don't worry about what others think. You sound like a nice person, keep it up.

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

whats so strange about it. i see that a lot.

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

i have poop colored brown eyes and sort of coppery blonde hair and I think you should embrace it....i was voted best looking in high school so dont worry about it. and other celebrities like britney spears and scarlett johannson have blonde hair and brown eyes and it works for them.....personally i really like the combination because not EVERYONE has it

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

depending on your skin color you could go dark brown hair or even red. i have blond hair and brown eyes and it can get drab. i just get highlights put in it to keep it fresh!

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

OMG!!!you sound like my TWIN SISTER!I have brown eyes and blond hair and as a 16 yr old girl,i think it rocks.Jessica Simpson AND Hilary Duff both have blond hair and brown eyes.I love it.Its different.Dark eyes and blond hair.I bet it rocks!

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

That so nice!!!!!

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

its traits u cant do anything about it but if u really don't like it u can always either get the colored contacts or die ur hair a darker shade of blond or even go brown or if u don't want to do ur whole hair u can do chunks of a darker color in it which will give u some different tones. i hope this helps or is an answer ur looking for but i have to say that is pretty neat

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

sounds like perfect attributes to enhance a good personality - along with a nice, heartfelt smile

Blonde hair, brown eyes?

I honestly find blond hair unattractive....%26gt;.%26lt; and it looks even worse with brown eyes. That is just MY honest opinion....I know some people who like it, I just don't.

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

I currently have some very light blonde streaks in my hair... Unfortunately I can't afford to get it done again for a couple of months, but the roots are really bad and I'd like to cover it up until I can get it fixed.

If I use a darkish brown, do I put the colour on the curently brown part of my hair first? Or on the blonde part first? Is it going to look funny now matter how I do it?

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

It will not completely cover the highlights, but the highlights will blend in better with the rest of your hair. If you pick the right color it will look good. Don't put it on the brown part first because why would you want that to be even darker?

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

It doesnt really matter which part you do 1st. Your highlighted hair will make the dye look a little more intense but it will fade out a lot sooner. But it's an easy cover up until you can get your highlights re-done.

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

it doesn't matter where you dye it first. It'll look the same =^-^=

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

why don't you just get a root touch up kit? they sell them in every drugstore i think. you can even get them at some grocery stores.

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

I just recently went back to my natural hair color by dying it brown after having many blonde and red highlights in my hair. The spots where the blonde highlights were are a little lighter, but I think it makes the color look more natural, especially since before I started having my hair colored I always had the natural highlights in my hair. It won't effect which order you put the color on.

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

There's a phone number on the box, I have called before with questions similar to yours and they have always been right.

I've called clairol and loreal, I think the others have phone numbers as well.

Dying hair Brown over Blonde highlights?

Visit Sally Beauty Supply.

Ask the Sales Associate to point out Clairol Professional's Second Nature.

Second Nature is a no-lift, no-ammonia, deposit only color that is specifically formulated to correct hair and take you to a darker shade.

The cool thing about Second Nature, it's a corrective color, so you don't have to worry about the blonde portion of your hair turning ash green or blue, which can happen when you put a dark color over bleached hilites.

At Sally Beauty, all the hair swatches are on display on the shelf. Choose the brown shade of your choice, I would recommend going a little lighter brown that you want, like a medium to light brown, as it will more than likely look a lot darker than you expect. Try to pick a brunette with some warm tones, as your blonde hair will turn out a nicer brunette shade if you add a little warmth. (like 156/4G)

To apply, mix it with 20 volume developer and apply it to all of your hair, roots and blonde. Let it process 20 - 30 minutes and you will have toned down your blonde and blended it with your roots.

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

Hi guys, i have naturally fair hair. It does not take well to dark colours i still end up with fair hair hehe so i gave up trying for a bit and stayed fair. I dyed my hair recently in a salon and i really dont like it, i want to go dark brown so i have got the darkest one i could find so my hair will take well (i hope) but my friend said it is dangerous to dye your hair this soon to having the other one done(been about 2 weeks) she said it would green is this true?

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

if i were you, i would wait for a couple more weeks at least.

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

The brown hair color might not take well and you might have blond streaks left also it is too soon to dye your hair again and it may damage it. Take good care of your hair.

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

well..use a hot oil treatment...then two days later leave on mayo for 2 hours..then rinse these will conditioner your hair..so the color will take better and not fry your hair

**as long as its 14 days after your coloring you should be fine.

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

Never heard that one but a healthy way to dye hair is Henna. Get the darkest color you want, heat up the water and put it in to a paste. Put it in your hair, plastic cap it and either go into the sauna for 15-20 mins or try to keep it heated for that long. later wash and condition. set. No chemicals, 100% natural.

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

If I were you, I would talk with the hair colorist that did your hair at the salon. She will likely give you some tips on what to do or what colors and/or products to avoid.

Most drugstore/over the counter coloring formulas have a base tint that is greenish in color.

Darkest browns sometimes result in a blackish tint. (3 daughters and many dye jobs to relate to.) From experience, once my girls went real dark there was no going back except to the salon to get expensive color enhancements, etc.

Your stylist should be very willing to share the risks of going to a dark brown. Ask her for suggestions.

Dying recently blonde dyed hair brown?

i have done that before and my hair turned out horrible. i dyed my hair back the same day. i mean it will do some damage to your hair, but if leave your hair alone after that it should be fine. i would dye it the darker color and the use hair repair products on it when you was your hair. and use a leave in conditioner. and your friend doesnt know what she is talking about your hair wont turn green. dont go to dark in might turn out black, and you really cant dye over black. you would have until the black fades to brown. i would say try a medium brown,

I have dark brown eyebrows and wavy, dirty blonde hair....4 questions?

1)I really want to dye my hair brown, but all my friends tell me that it will look bad...but i have dark eyebrows....so wouldn't i look better with dark hair?

2) has anyone experimented with dying your hair two different colors? I was thinking dark brown and bleach blonde kind of mixed in together...what do you think?

3) what kind of bangs looks best on a person with an oval shaped face, and how do you style them?

4) how do you blow dry wavy hair and still have it wavy when it's dry? or what kind of styling product can I put in my wavy hair when it is wet to make it wavy and shiny, and not have to blow dry it?

thanks in advance! :)

I have dark brown eyebrows and wavy, dirty blonde hair....4 questions?

1 - Since you have dark eyebrows, I think brown hair would look good. Your friends probably just don't want you to take a chance of dying your hair a bad color.

2 - It's tricky doing that. I would definitley recommend doing that at at salon. But if you mean dye your hair brown with bleach blonde highlights, I would recommend going a little darker with the blonde

3 - Side bangs look great on oval face shapes. When you get out of the shower, comb them into the exact place you want, then dry it with a blowdryer like that. Overtime, your bangs will eventually fall that way.

4 - If you want your hair to dry wavy, don't use a brush to dry it. Try also using Herbal Essences Curl Boosting Mousse - apply it when your hair is when, scrunch it a little, and it will add a little more wave to your hair. This product will make it wavy %26amp; shiny also if you don't want to use a blowdryer. Spray it with a shine or glossing spray or add a shine spray for extra shine.

I have dark brown eyebrows and wavy, dirty blonde hair....4 questions?

die your eyebrows.

Hair problem :( jetblack hair -> light brown?

I have JET black hair and I recently dyed my hair with revlon in ash blonde. I followed the instructions and ended up with no result.

Do you think if I went lighter like a very light blonde I would have any results? Or should I use a differernt brand? I really don`t want to bleach my hair b.c it would look unnatural.

So how can I make my black hair brown?

Thanks! :)

Hair problem :( jetblack hair -%26gt; light brown?

Don't use drugstore box hair dye. You'd either have to go ro a salon OR your local beauty supply store.

So here's what you do.....go to the beauty supply store and get the bottle of the brown shade you're looking to go and then be sure to use it with 30 volume developer. It has to be 30 volume or else it won't work at all.

You can try L'Oreal Hi-Color which is avaible at most beauty supply stores and is meant for people with dark hair they have browns, reds, blones and cool highliting colors too like RED.

NOTE: only do this if your hair is naturally black....if you dyed it black you may want to try to fade it out by washing your hair with a mixture of baking soda and shampoo.....

Hair problem :( jetblack hair -%26gt; light brown?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

black hair rocks especially if ur Asian like me

keep it

Colouring hair- brown over blonde..?

i have been getting blonde highlights in my hair- its naturally brunette- will getting it coloured my natural colour over the blonde cause it to go orangy?

my friend had dyed blonde hair and she said when she got it coloured brown it went a bit orangy?

Colouring hair- brown over blonde..?

the only reason it would be orangey is someone didn't know what they were doing. yes, brown over blonde will be somewhat of a warm tone, as you can't put an ashy tone over blonde or it will be green or gray. if the proper natural brown based level 5 to 6 color with a 6 to 10 volume developer is used, there should be no lift on the remaining natural color between the highlights, and only deposit on the blonde, therefore, no orangey tone. i say level 5 or 6 because you say "naturally brunette" and that is what most people mean by brunette. you may, though, be somewhat lighter or somewhat darker than my specifications. i don't know because i can't see your regrowth.

Colouring hair- brown over blonde..?

depends on how dark your hair is, if it is between really dark brown and medium brown, the blonde dye will make it slightly blonde, but mostly red. you may have to do it several times. If you lightish hair, don't worry.

Colouring hair- brown over blonde..?

thats probably because they lifted her natural hair color and the brown color must have been lighter than her natural color and lifted up her natural hair color, and faded off of the blonde

so just put a brown with a 10 volume instead of 20 volume so you'll get more deposit

Colouring hair- brown over blonde..?

hey i don't get y ur wanna colour ur hair when its just beautiful as it is! i mean brunnet chicks are probabaly the hottest chicks there r! and if u really wanna get ur hair deyed and turned into a bimbo blondy, then so be it ! its ur life! life it the way u want!!!

How can i dye my blue black hair brown? i wnt it blonde but will take brown then move to blonde..?

:ive been dyeing my hair blue black since june...my natural color is blonde. i want my blonde hair back. please help me =( i dnt have money to go to a saloon.. and i dnt want to let it grow out it will take forever and look terrible. i dnt want to use a hair stripper im to scared i heard it can melt ur hair and cause hair lose =( eww...but if i can some how get my black hair to brown.i can take it from there..so please help im desperate and need advice thank you all for your help =)

How can i dye my blue black hair brown? i wnt it blonde but will take brown then move to blonde..?

She was right. You have to strip it I have brown hair and I went blonde and I couldn't handle stripping it so I went back to brown, you are the darkest color there is listen I went to school to do hair but quit doing it and you can go to wall mart and get a kit to lighten it to blonde just read the box if you never stripped it before you will be fine you just have to watch as your hair turns lighter when you see that it is light then rinse and put color of blonde that you were and leave it alone do not get a perm for awhile color it and then condition it all the time and first you can do a strand test you go underneath the back of your neck at the bottom and just follow directions like you were doing your whole hair and you time it see how long it takes to come up will go threw different stages will look brown will look red will look orange just depending on how much hair you have and how thick it is might need two kits to make sure you have enough if you got alot of hair. so watch your strand test time it and you will know excately how your hair will react . if it takes one it won't cost you much 7 dollars maybe

How can i dye my blue black hair brown? i wnt it blonde but will take brown then move to blonde..?

You're screwed. The only way to get dye out is with stripper or bleach. And you'd have to go to a salon to get that done unless you wanna screw your hair up worse.

How can i dye my blue black hair brown? i wnt it blonde but will take brown then move to blonde..?

it is better to go to blonde first. well that is the first that you wil get because you must get all the black out to dye it brown in the first place.

Dying red hair brown?

my hair is like redish brownish. more red though. i really dont like it and want to dye it brown, not to dark but yeah. my mom wont let me though, she said that a have a "unique" hair color and dying it would ruin it and that it would be hard to keep up and all. i havnt really heard of people with red hair dying it brown though. i dont have dark red hair, or really red hair but yeah would the color take or whatever. also some people have told me it might turn out purple? what could i say to my mom to let me do it. and should i go to a professional or would like the box color work?

Dying red hair brown?

I would go see a professional. Especially with distinct colored hairs, it can get a little tricky and box color will turn out a lot differently. Dying your hair will "ruin" your hair for the time being. Your hair will be a little more dry and a little more 'straw-like' because of the chemicals but it will grow out the same as before so it's worth giving it a shot to see if you like it.

Dying red hair brown?

Only 1% of the world has red hair. Keep it. When you are older, you will find that it will get you plenty of attention from guys.

Dying red hair brown?

go to a professional if u really want to die it but i wouldn't because not a lot of people have red hair.

Dying red hair brown?

i have red hair and the opposite sex loves it.hehehehe

i like girls with red hair and so do all of my firends

Dying red hair brown?

george washingtons real hair was red but look at him.. he has white hair. it might be fake but still...

if it wasnt red dont blame me blame my 3rd grade teacher.

Dying red hair brown?

My friend has red hair and she recently had it dyed a chestnut brown. But she went to a hairdresser. I think red hair is really hard to "take". I'd definitely go to a professional just in case ;)

Good luck!

Dying red hair brown?

i would say that it would depend on how old you are. try telling your mom that you don't want to change it forever, but just for a little while. be reasonable and calm, and maybe she will come around. on the flip side, you can always have it done and deal with the consequences later. me personally, i would talk to my mom.

if you go ahead and do it, i would have it done professionally. They will make sure that your hair won't turn purple. If you use a box color make sure that you get one that has blond tints in it and not red. Have fun

Dying red hair brown?

how about getting highlights instead then u will still have red hair, and u can still dye it a litle,

Dying red hair brown?

Hahaha.

What's the point of dying your hair if it's red? A million people are bruntette in pretty much every city.

Keep your hair color.

Dying red hair brown?

A professional salon that uses a semi-permanent colorgloss can achieve a balanced darker color on your hair that will not leave that horrible "root" line when your hair grows in. Using a box color will most likely result in hair that will fade "off tone" to an unflattering orangish color. You have seen this walking down the street, I am sure...Expect to need fresh colorglossing approximately every 8-10 weeks to keep your locks looking shiny and lush.

Dying Black hair brown?

I have naturally red hair, I am a guy but my hair is pretty long it reaches down to my chin all around.. I dyed it black for about a year now and I want to go brown.. I tried dying it a medium shade of brown yesterday and a light shade of brown today.. I know im not suppost to mix the 2 but so far its fine, but color wise its still black.. the red roots are a little darker.. but I let the dye sit in my hair for about 30 minutes each time I did it.. and still no results.. any help on getting rid of this black hair? =)

Dying Black hair brown?

Going for that punk look huh? Well that's pretty cool.

Now you have to get it bleached then colored. I recommend The Hair Cuttery to do this because the "bleach" used can be dangerous. Hair Cuttery has stylist that aren't judgmental to your kind of style. Like me, I went there thinking it was an all white place and they couldn't black hair. But they did my hair color nicely.

Good luck.

閳绢櫄!sh...

Dying Black hair brown?

Get it professionally done. They use a peroxide based product to lift the black. Once you've had it done once, you should be able to maintain it on your own.

Dying Black hair brown?

you need to go to a salon and have your hair bleached and have it dyed brown. thats the only way you can remove it (other than letting your roots grow) obviously u cannot go lighter when you dyed your hair black, so bleaching it is the only way i know how

Dying Black hair brown?

You'd have to grow it out. Seems like its not growing out very fast though, so you would have to bleach it most likely from a salon, and then re-dye it a colour you'd rather have until next time you dye it. I suggest waiting a bit though, colouring your hair too much will make it fall out =[

Dying Black hair brown?

You are going to have to lift the color with 10-20% peroxide. I wouldnt do anything for another month or so unless you want hair that will feel like straw.

Blonde hair, brown eyes & brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

does this combination look nice : blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows?

because i want to dye my hair blonde (like reece witherspoon) but i have brown eyes and eyebrows.

can you buy contacts that are blue and can you dye your eyebrows?

please help me!

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

well, look at Carrie Underwood and you tell me!

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

the eye color doesnt matter..but if you have thick dark eyebrows then it will look kind of awkward, but if your eyebrows arent too dark, i dont think you will need to dye them

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

well, I think that you should keep your eye color the same, But that's just me.Yes, you can dye your eyebrows. my sister does it all the time at home. if your eyebrows are a dark shade of brown, then you should probally dye them a lighter shade of brown because if you have thick dark eye brows the blond hair will look kinda fake. so a more ideal combination would be

Blond hair, brown eyes,%26amp; light brown eye brows.

ask your hairdresser about wich light brown would be good for you. I hope you choose me as best answer! :)

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

My daughter is blonde with brown eyes, but her eyebrows are light also. I don't know how safe it would be to color your eyebrows-but I know they do it in salons. If your brows are really dark, the blonde hair will just look really fake. Good Luck!

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

yes, you can dye your eyebrows, but you dont need to buy colored contacts. your eyecolor will be just fine the way it is, but just so you know, people can sometimes tell if you've dyed your hair, even if you dont have different colored eyebrows, because it just doesnt look right with your skin tone and the way your natural beauty is suppost to show, i know because i myself can tell if anyone's dyed their hair.

anyway, if your eyebrows are thin it wouldnt matter, but if their thick i'd say you might wanna dye them.

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

Depends on how thick and dark your eyebrows are. If they aren't too bad, it should look fine. Maybe you should try just going with highlights. So, you will have the dark parts to match your eyebrows, and it grows in much nicer and is easier to keep up.

Your eye color does not matter.

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

I personally don't think darker eyebrows suit light hair.. but some people like that. If you want to go lighter with your hair, consider dying your eyebrows a little bit lighter as well, to balance the colors out

Blonde hair, brown eyes %26amp; brown eyebrows - does this look nice?

why cant we just be happy with how god made us instead of always trying to change ourselves.

I want to dye my hair brown/dark brown, but I have DYED BLACK HAIR, help?

I have dyed black hair. I dyed it about 3 months ago.

I want to get the color out so I can dye it a lighter color, such as a lbrown to dark brown.

What will I have to do to get the black out of my hair.

Bleach it? What type of Bleach should I use (Best Brands)

Can I use a color remover? (Again, Brands?)

And after I get my perfect brown, what are the best after-treatments?...MY HAIR is brittle and crap as it is.

Products? Thanks

I want to dye my hair brown/dark brown, but I have DYED BLACK HAIR, help?

Ok, so my 13 yr old sister did the same thing herself without letting me do it for her, and her hair turned out black (and her hair is naturally blonde). Her hair was so damaged that I couldn't even bleach the color out, so this is how you do it so it doesn't start to break off. Go to Sally Beauty and buy 2 or 3 boxes of Salon Care color remover ($13 a box). Apply one package, leave in for 20 min, cover with a cap (this stuff is really safe for your hair because it doesn't contain any bleach). After this your hair color should be a dark brown. Apply another box and you hair should be getting to a medium brown or so, based on what color you had under the black, it can look a little darker or lighter. Once it gets to a level of darkness that you like, pick a color that you like. If your hair is orange, then use an ashy color (green base), if you hair is green, use a reddish color. Make sure that you do not buy any boxes of dye from the drugstore, buy a dye from Sally Beauty because they are better quality and don't damage your hair as bad. After you are all done, your hair might feel like straw because of all the damage, so go to your local salon and purchase Instacure by Matrix Essentials. This is a leave-in that makes even the most damaged of hair feel soft and look shiny. Please feel free to email me if you need any tips or have any questions!

I want to dye my hair brown/dark brown, but I have DYED BLACK HAIR, help?

shave it off and wait tell it grows back!

I want to dye my hair brown/dark brown, but I have DYED BLACK HAIR, help?

if it is already in bad condition i wouldn't do anything to it. unless you want to cut it short. color will not lift color and this is not a job that should be done at home! go to the salon.

I want to dye my hair brown/dark brown, but I have DYED BLACK HAIR, help?

You are better off going to a hairstylist who knows what chemicals to use on your hair not to damage it. Don't try to do it yourself, trust, I know from experience. My hair turned orange lol. But next time don't go black, just stay dark brown

I want to dye my hair brown/dark brown, but I have DYED BLACK HAIR, help?

i hear ya! i died my hair black, eugh!!!

If you use anti-dandruff shampoo it take the colour out a bit. [my colour was perminant and this shampoo faded it]

Also, at the hair dressers you can ask them to strip some of the colour out. I had this done also. They just wash your hair with something and let it sit for 15 mins or so, it worked really well!

I suggest not bleaching it, it's so bad for your hair and seeings as you say your hair is brittle it's probs best steer clear of bleach.

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

I want to dye my hair brown, using the dye they have at CVS and stuff, like that product for men or whatever. But I was wondering, does the brown dye lighten my black hair, or will it just not show on black hair???

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

Does a brown crayon show up on black crayon?

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

no sorry it wont work

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

dont know maybe just try

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

won't work - I know from experience(s)

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

since black is darker than brown it will not show up, black hair has to be prelightened to show up a lighter colour

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

it will show up on the black hair if your hair is naturally black.

if it's dyed black, it won't.

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

Usually, not many colors show up on untreated black hair.

You have to look on the side of the dye box, where they have the little color guide.

Try dyes made for African American hair - they're usually stronger. Just make sure you deep condition.

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

Nope. You have to go to a salon sorry.

If I dye my hair brown, will it show up on black hair?

Most likely, no. Black dye is very hard to get out. I would go to a stylist. They will help you get what you want in the least damaging way. You might have to go back a few times but it will be worth it since you will experience no damage!

Dying medium-dark blonde hair brown..?

I want to dye my hair.. that is a darker blonde to brown. My hair is really dry and relatively brittle. I've never dyed it before, and want to try it out.

But, what I want to know is if it will ruin my hair? I don't want to do dark, dark.. but, maybe a lighter-medium brown.

Here's a picture.. it's the most recent I could find. (I'm on the right.)

%26lt;img src="http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/pho...

And, no this isn't a "Aren't I pretty?" type of sh*t, I really want to know, in case I go ahead and ruin my hair.

Thanks in advance!

Dying medium-dark blonde hair brown..?

don't worry about your hair being somewhat dry the dye will actually help with that. And that is a great idea I love it already just tell your stylist about the color that you want so there is no mistakes. Good luck.

Dying medium-dark blonde hair brown..?

Dying your hair darker will not damage your hair, especially if you go to a salon where their hair dye is almost completely made out of natural ingredients... (aveda hair dye is 99% natural, i had the same problem and their dye made my hair feel so SOFT and HEALTHY). so take that into consideration. home hair dye (the stuff you can buy at walgreens, etc.) is full of unneccesary chemicals and the color fades really fast. home hair dye can dry your hair out even more.

Should I dye my hair brown and wear brown contacts?

I am of mixed race.. I am half Danish and half chinese. I have chinese eyes but my natural hair color is light blond and I have blue eyes. Everyone thinks that I dye my hair blond and am wearing blue contacts and I hate it. People think that I am high maintence because of my looks but in reality, I am a very shy reserved person. Being a really realistic person, people will assume and judge that I try to be white. In high school, it was the hardest for me because of the assumptions that I used to always get. I know a lot of you reading this will say that I shouldn't care and only be myself, but its hard. It's easier said then done. People say I am very beautiful but i am the type of person that likes to hide and not stand out.

Should I dye my hair brown and wear brown contacts?

Well.. I really dont think you should change the way u look because people are hating on u.... I think u should embrace it because alot of those girls that were hating on u would kill to look like u and they were just mad that they dont look like u. i think if u change the way u look by dying your hair and wearing contacts, then that will make it seem like you're trying to be someone you're not. but i do think that if u have a strong feeling to dye your hair and wear contacts then do what makes u happy and what makes u feel more confident.. but i just want to say embrace the way u look with which ever route u choose to go.

Should I dye my hair brown and wear brown contacts?

Well you sound beautiful to me exactly as you are!! Id love to have what you have...so all i can say is try and appreciate the beauty you have been blessed with :)

No. Be as natural as you are.

I find it difficult to understand why black-haired women dye their hair blonde and fair-skinned ladies tan themselves to golden brown. The seem to be discontented with their physical appearance.

I find Eurasians soooooo pretty!

Can u dye your hair brown then turn around and put blonde highlights in on the same day?

i've already dyed and washed out the brown. i dyed it brown (my natural color) because my hair had alot of diffrent tones going on from when i dyed it then cut all my hair and i had alot of growth that hadent been dyed the last dye i did on my hair was about a year ago now i jus want to have a perfect all over dye job i just finished the brown and now just need to add the blonde highlights today

Can u dye your hair brown then turn around and put blonde highlights in on the same day?

Yes you can. I would not reccomend doing that yourself though. Get a prefessional to do the blonde highlights. But I would ask your hair dresser to make them look natural. I remember when I was in 4th grade I got highlights in my hair, and they looked like big ugly tiger stripes! =(

Can u dye your hair brown then turn around and put blonde highlights in on the same day?

I would be careful if you are doing your own hair.

I go to a salon and I honestly think they know what's best.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes & fair skin?

I have always tried taupes and browns but they just don't look right. It's unusual to have such dark hair and such pale skin AND blue eyes (i should have blonde hair but I don't) So what do I do? And what about eye liner and mascara? If I use black liner I look like a racoon. Please help

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

You sound just like me!!!

well you have a few options:

silvers (don't go overboard) *****my favorite*****

light, icy pinks

light brown w/ silver specks- NOT GOLD

Aqua and blue might be okay if you blend them well ( if you are going for a dramatic look)

as far as eyeliner goes, VERY lightly(you are probably putting too much on, that's what gives you that raccoon look, I see that a lot!) smudge a soft black or grey pencil under your eye as close as you can to your lash line, rub finger to blend

black mascara will really make your eyes pop yet still looks natural, I say stay away from other colors

Things to stay away from:

reds, golds, bright pinks, blues that don't blend, browns, greens.

Stick to Icy colors, stay away from warm colors as a general rule, but always try experimenting!

Good luck!!!

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

black

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

What about grey? That would bring out the blue in your eyes.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

i think you will look more gorgeous if you will use tints and tinge of blue and green.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

hmm try something bbold why not? get some high pigments added in try the loreal 'HIP' line eye shadows any color look hot, Im a few shades off I have blue-grey eyes and red hair, however blod colors work also try the 'angelia jolie' look perfect she has the same compleation as you, the dark brown eyeliner she wore in mr and mrs smith is perfect 4 u

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

try light pink or a cream shadow. for eye liner, maybe navy? go to your favorite brand of makup at macys and have one of the workers help you.

i wish i had blue eyes%26gt;_%26lt;

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

almay intence eye color!! or some brown

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

Use a soft black or brown for your mascarra.

Greyish eyeliner.

Tend to stick with misty colors, neutrals. pinks some purples.

If you have pale skin then you want to stay away from warm colors. The best thing for you is to use paler colors.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

Navy blue eyeliner

Black mascara

Pale pink eyeshadow, or just about any other color, but there's something about pink that makes blue eyes stand out, especially with brown hair and fair skin.

Works for me--same coloring as you. Taupes and browns once in a while can be good, but for the most part they'll wash us out.

Good luck!

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

You are like me. I have fair skin and for my eyeshadow i wear a soft brown with a soft brown eye liner and a medium black color mascara. Try it and see what happens.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

I really think browns look good on everyone

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

My natural hair color is medium brown. I have blue eyes and I'm fair skinned also. I use some coppers, charcoals, light blues, some pinks, and natural colors not necessary browns. I am a cosmetologist and spa technician. I have been to several makeup classes. I have learned the best thing to do is experiment. So just try new colors. Colors you would have never thought of using. Most of the time I use a brow/black eye liner and mascara. If I wear charcoal or Grey shadow I use charcoal liner, if I wear pink eye shadow I use plum eye liner (the pinks I use are usually fusia shades, not light pinks), blue shadow, inigo liner. You can mix and match. There is no set rules when it comes to eyeshadow colors. If you have anymore questions you can contact me via email. cetwf@yahoo.com. I hope this is helpful. Tammie

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

try using brown mascara and teal eyeliner. dust lightly with a gold shimmer. I'm sure you'll be beautiful.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

to bring your eyes out use a bit darker blue than your eye color. (i have that same thing my eyes are green and my hair is deep brown and i have light skin too.) I use brown eyeliner or only black mascara on top and bottom lashes. I usaully match my eyeshawdow with my shirt but not perfectly cuz u dont want to look too bland.

What color eyeshadow should I wear with brown hair, blue eyes %26amp; fair skin?

With brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin try neutrals. Like a pale pink shimmery eye shadow, brown masscara, and a neutral gloss. A very light blush might do some good and you can define your brows. Make them a bit darker to compliment your look.

Dyeing my hair brown...?

I know similar questions have been asked before, but my situation is a bit different...I have red hair that I DYE to make red. My normal hair color is brown. I want to go back to my original color, only a few shades darker. Can I go straight to brown from red using a box color, or is that too risky?

Dyeing my hair brown...?

no, just go ahead and do it.

if it doesn't work out the way you'd hoped,

walgreens sells a permanent haircolor removal.

Dyeing my hair brown...?

ooooo thats pretty tricky

my mom is a hairstylist and i dye my hair all the time (my hair is also brown) and when i have red highlights or something its REALLY hard to get out....but since this is a box color it may be easier

i would go to a salon and ask.....beleive me....a mistake with red and brown can go bad.

Dyeing my hair brown...?

Going darker isn't usually a problem and since you are doing brown on red, they are kinda in the same family I would just do it and not worry about it.

Just make sure to use a brand with no-ammonia since you are dying dyed hair, you don't want to be too hard on it. You could also look at doing a henna rinse in a dark brown. It might not be exactly brown, but depending on the color it would keep a reddish tint and would be easier on your hair.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

I want to dye my hair a brown, but if I dont like it I dont want to be caught up in a viscious cycle of dying my hair forever, I dyed the underneath of my hair a light brown colour and it just faded, **I think that my mum tolf the hairdresser not to put permanent on it without me knowing** it faded afer 5 washes anyway I just wondered if I dont like it will my roots keep growing back black, if i dont like it I want to go back to my normal hair colour because I did like the brown colour underneath but I want to be sure before I do anything... so basically my main question is...will I be able to get my natural hair colour back if i dislike it or will i be dying my hair and roots forever???

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

no u will not...i just spent about 300 bucks on trying to get my dyed hair back to the original color and the professionals could hardly do it. its very difficult to get it back to the original color unless u strip the color from it which its extremely un-good for u! dont dye it darker than ur natural color if u ever want ur normal hair back!

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

Your hair grows all t楹揾e time so the roots will always be blonde there is no way out of it sorry

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

why don't you try the color moussee's from sallys........it'll be better than ruining it for a long time

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

If you dye your hair brown, you will not have to continue coloring your hair forever afterwards. If you dye it brown and decide you do not like it, you go back blonde - you will be bleaching the brown out of your hair.

Its not going to be the most healthy things for you hair, you may cause some damage and dryness - but trust me going from brown to blonde is much more manageable than blonde to brown - thats where you run into the color fading and all the maintenance afterwards!

Good luck with whatever decision you make!

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

DO NOT DYE UR HAIR!!! im blonde also and LOVE my hair and u'll be ruining ur hair if u dye it.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

First of all how could your blonde hair grow black roots and if you decide to colour your hair in a darker colour it will be difficult to remove when you are tired of it, and no you don't have to keep colouring it that is if you don't mine having two tone hair.

I want to dye my blonde hair brown, but, I was wondering...?

You say,"I just wondered if I dont like it will my roots keep growing back black," does this mean that your natural hair color is black? Well if it is, then of course your roots will always grow out as your natural hair color. If you dyed your hair blonde from black then it will be hard for your hair to retain any color because the blonde underneath will stripe the brown color you want to apply to it. I've dyed my hair many times with colors from black, blonde, red, brown. Its hard to work with hair that has been dyed blonde or red. Its possible but you have to go to a very experienced hair stylist who not only knows the history of your hair but also is good at blending colors %26amp; has experience with your particular hair type. If you're naturally black then no you won't have to dye your hair forever. Keep dying your hair dark to browns and eventually you can go back to your natural color. The dark browns will continue to wash out as medium to soft browns at first but hang in there. =D

My hair is naturally brown, but I've gotton alot of hightlights to where it is really blonde. W

I am wanting to dye my hair brown again, perhaps even a shade darker. My hair is pretty blonde, but its not dye its just alot of highlights. I don't have the money to keep going back and getting my roots done, and I don't really want to go back to the salon to get it dyed darker, instead I was wondering if it were safe for my hair to just do it out of a box by myself. I didn't know if this would damage my hair, since they are only hightlights and not actual dye, but then i didn't want to take any chances. I didn't think that it would harm it in any way, but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.

My hair is naturally brown, but I've gotton alot of hightlights to where it is really blonde. Want to dye back

Your highlights are actually bleach, which is more damaging than dye. You can dye your hair brown at home, but because your dying over bleach the highlighted sections will lighten up over time. If you were to go to a salon to go back to brown, they would use a filler that would keep your hair from lightening up after dye.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you have been getting highlights for some time there is a chance one of two thing will happen when you dye your hair 1. The ends will not absorb color and stay blonde. 2. Your ends could be very porous from bleaching and absorb too much color. If you do decide on at home color, I would only pull the color through to the ends for the last five or ten minutes.

Good luck!

My hair is naturally brown, but I've gotton alot of hightlights to where it is really blonde. Want to dye back

if you do it right, you should not harm your hair. the only thing is that blond highlights (since it is bleach) will tend to not take color very well. at least that is how it works with me. when i dyed my hair dark brown after i had platinum blond chunks, the brown took well, but it faded quickly from the highlighted areas.

even if you buy hair dye in a box, i would suggest you get someone else to do it for you to make sure you get good coverage. it is extremely hard to get all your hair when you are doing it yourself.

My hair is naturally brown, but I've gotton alot of hightlights to where it is really blonde. Want to dye back

I went with darker hair, I had auburn hair with gold highlights. I used Hydrience by Clairol #46 Driftwood, which is a medium ash brown. I like the results, but its been only a week. Its not too dark and not light. I like the fact that in the application process, this dye doesn't drip.

Try the Hydrience website and look at the color chart. Maybe you can decide on a brown shade.

http://www.clairol.com/brand/hydrience/b...

My hair is naturally brown, but I've gotton alot of hightlights to where it is really blonde. Want to dye back

This happened to me. It's going to be tough, and you may just want to do bottle jobs for a while. Its tough because the highlights will bleed through fairily quickly. Mine would bleed through within 7 days. Now not completely, but enough to notice. I did re-dye it every 6 weeks. I was told this would happen until the highlights were cut out. Good Luck!

My hair is naturally brown, but I've gotton alot of hightlights to where it is really blonde. Want to dye back

Be careful and definatly do a test piece on a highlited piece of hair. Brown dyes tend to either have a purple base or a green base color. When you get in the sun bleached hair will show this. I suggest doing a "lowlight". Some thing in the red family, like redish brown. If you do the highlites its less maintenace as the highlighted parts of your hair are going to lose color much faster. You will avoid the harshness of new root growth and the funky "line of demarkation" and keep the multi- tone of natural hair. Gradually fade your hair back to a darker color. Avoid dyes that say "ash", again they tend to have green or purple base colors. You may want to put a strawberry red dye first then a week or so later go with the brown. Hope this helps....

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair .

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, Should I go tanning if I have a fairly light skin color not really light but moderate, I have a light brown hair color and my dress is a light light tan/beige? Or should I just keep my skin color the way it is? Please help me.

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair ....?

It probably wouldn't hurt to tan..but you have the risk of being sunburnt! That wouldn't be too hot! to be safe you can use neutrogena's tanning lotion.. watch what shade you buy.. light medium would be best if your fair.. but it is non streaky.. but use gloves to applicate

I hope you have fun!!!

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair ....?

Depends how you feel and how much will be showing. I personally prefer to have a colour as I am very pale, so get a spray tan done and it brings out a nice tanned colour for a special occassion. it is also safer than a tan.

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair ....?

Tanning is really bad for your skin. Don't do it. You may not thank me now but when you hit 40 you will thank me then.

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair ....?

It's sounds lovely just the way you are. If you feel you want to be tanned, then go with a spray bronze, by L'Oreal. Have a good time.

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair ....?

NEVER CHANGE UR SKIN COLOR OR TAN THEM FOR THIS. U'LL REGRET LATER. U'LL BE FINE.

I have an 8th grade dance coming up, and my dress is a light light tan/beige and i have brown hair ....?

Jergens makes a Glow lotion that is pretty. Put on a little bit of gold body glitter/powder. Try using Bonnie Belle Bronzer (looks like a compact and is really inexpensive) on your cheeks and brush across your temples and neck. Maybe wear a seashell necklace to look like you've been to the beach! Have fun!

Which of the three would be a good product if I want to highlight my bangs and I have dark black/bro

Check out the link below and tell me which product would help me make my bangs turn to blonde. If you have any other products that you know or have used would you let me know?

http://www.clairol.com/brand/blonding/bo...

One last thing, I see the original hair color in the left column side and what the blonde would look like after on the right column side. If I have black to dark brown hair, which blonde would you recommend? I don't want my bangs to be like bleach blonde, but somewhat blonde.

Which of the three would be a good product if I want to highlight my bangs and I have dark black/brown hair?

You have to go with the lightest colour, cause your hair is so dark, using anything but isn't going to do it.

it will go only a lighter colour then your original.

Which of the three would be a good product if I want to highlight my bangs and I have dark black/brown hair?

Thanks again for your help!! Also, my relative has a friend who's a hairstylist so I did know what I was doing, but I just needed some recommendation and what you guys thought. =) Report It

Awesome, I'm glad you got it solved. and so fast :) Report It

Which of the three would be a good product if I want to highlight my bangs and I have dark black/brown hair?

your black hair is not likely to be a pretty blonde like in the picture...chances are you will get a really brassy result from any of those products..

Which of the three would be a good product if I want to highlight my bangs and I have dark black/brown hair?

I dont know a good product for your hair but carmel highlights would look good w/ brown/black hair.

Which of the three would be a good product if I want to highlight my bangs and I have dark black/brown hair?

What you need to do is go to a salon and have it done professionally. Especially if your hair is "virgin" to color. It's sounds like you have no idea what your doing so the best thing is to have it done by someone professional.

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

I dyed over my blonde hair to a darkdark brown. However, it's fading pretty fast and I want to keep it dark without dying again for as long as possible to prevent damage.

I've heard of john freida color glaze and sunsilk color boost both for dark brunettes. Does either one work really well?

Are there other dark rinses I can use?! Help?

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

Look for Artec color shampoo and conditioner in Walnut in a beauty supply. They actually have color in them, so it deposits color in your hair with use. They're great.

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

i have just done the same and so far have just made sure i use a brunette specific shampoo and a colour prolonging conditioner

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

there are special shampoos for brunette hair.

there are also color guard shampoos.

just go to the store, and look for color guard written on the bottle

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

i have seen at the grocery store special shampoo for those who have color treated hair. I would look into getting one of those.

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

Try those, but don't wash the hair too frequently. No matter what, water and the sun will fade color. Try using a silk or immitation silk pillow to keep friction down during the night and also to keep your hair easier to manage between washings.

Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

Any shampoo with Sodium Laureth Sulfate/SLS in it will strip your hair, including the color, fading it fast. You need to look at the ingredient list. Pretty much all shampoos have it, including the so-called color-care ones. You will have to find a shampoo at a natural food store. Even some of those still have SLS so read the ingredient list carefully.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_laur...

http://www.health-report.co.uk/sodium_la...

You can also try to wash your hair less. Bumble and Bumble has a colored hair powder for between washings.

Keeping your hair as healthy as possible will make it look it's best. Deep conditioners at least once a week and not overdoing the styling (heat from hairdryers, irons, etc.)

I hope that this helps, good luck!

Tips: Dying blonde hair brown?!?

Hi!

i've decided to dye my hair brown. i have really dirty blonde hair so it's almost brown anyway and i have dark, dark brown eyebrows and eyelashes. does anyone have any tips on what shade of brown i should use and if i should get a permanent coloring or just a temporary one, things like that....THANKS! :)

Tips: Dying blonde hair brown?!?

dark chestnut

Tips: Dying blonde hair brown?!?

Ok, well my hair is naturally medium brown but i dyed it blonde......but then i got sick of it so i dyed it back to brown. I told the stylist "i'd rather have it too light, than too dark" If you are somewhat pale, choose a shade lighter than what you would want, just in case you/he left it in too long. Dark shades would make you look even more pale. If you are tan, dont worry about it. Do an ash brown or medium brown. The haircolor the sylist used on me was called toffee, but keep in mind that every stylist uses diff. names for their colors!!!

that is chesnut, i had blonde hair (i dyed it blonde and didnt know my real color) so i dyed it to my roots and i did chesnut and it is so cute!

Tips: Dying blonde hair brown?!?

Are you doing this yourself? Do you want to look kind of natural to match (sort of) your roots for grow-in problems once you start dying, its hard to go back! I always used Miss Clairol products, they came with a nice conditioner and it smelled the least nasty of all, had great coverage and colors.

If you have gold highlights, chose colors with 'golden' in the name, like golden medium brown-this may fade out with some brassy orange/red.

If your hair has more of a green/grey undertone, use Ash Browns, med or dark-it may look kind of flat tho, ash brown is tough to dye. When you look a the kind of brown it is and compare it to the others, you'll understandwhat I mean.

You could also get something with a wine colored type of red highlight in the brown..that's always dramatic and fun.

Go to a beauty supply store and check your skin tone against the little hair twist samples wtih your arm and see which one will work for you. Ask sales person for help, they love to!

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

lol, I didn't realize that until I read about it. Then I started looking around. Nobody in my family has brown eyes (besides me and my dad)..they all have blue or green. Then at school I noticed in my classes (yeah, I was bored) that most of them had blue eyes also. Another thing though is that only 3% of us have (natural!) blond hair and even less have red. lol, I just thought that was interesting....

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

Seems strange if you know anything about genetics considering brown eyes are the dominant trait.

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

57%? Really, Mostly brown eyes in SD

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

LieZ! 70% are blonde! No, wait, that's Finland, my mistake. We used to call people with dark haired blackies or darks.

You see, if a person has dark hair it means that he or she is a changeling, and is actually a troll! I swear it is true... ssh, they are watching.

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

Cool

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

that is kool! i never knew that!! did you know most germans have blonde hair and blue eyes? its because hitler tried to make everybody that way! i thought that was interesting when i found that out!

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

ooh really.. i loved blue eyes.. haha though mine is brown. ^_^

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

Did you also know that 80 percent of americans have small cock

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

I think you're lying, Emily.

Hmmm....did you know that 57% of Americans have blue eyes but almost all of us have brown hair?

To the dude above me why would someone lie about something like that? lol...how stupid was it for you to say that.

Yes, I knew that....we talked about that when we were studying genetics in science class.

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

I dyed my hair brown and now I never want to dye it again! I want my natural hair colour back (black)! What should I do? Should I let it grow or dye it? If i let it grow, will it fade slowly or will it seem like my hair is half black or brown, I DONT WANT THAT! Help!

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

I had a similar situation recently. My hairdresser made my hair far too light. I wanted my natural dark blonde with some highlights. Eventually, my hair was two tone and looked terrible.

I found a hair dye very close to my own natural color. Now line between my natural hair and the "color restored" portion is gone.

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

You'll never get your old hair color back until you grow it out.

You can dye it near your color and let it grow out so it won't be half brown, half black.

Or you can try something on this site:

http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Remove-...

Good Luck.

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

it will fade out. give it about a month or so

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

Try using a color remover like Color Oops!, or go to a salon to see if they have a color remover without hydrogen peroxide- thats the key! , or you can go to Sally's and ask them for help, ask them for a color remover w/o hydrogen peroxide. . . remove the color you put on and see how it comes out, if you like it keep it, if not, redye it black or dark brown - which will come out black, and just let it grow out.

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

Well, this depends on how strong your dye is, some of them fades fast and some of them are rather stubborn and seems to stay. My suggestion would be to grow it out and then when it's half brown, half black, die the ends black. The same thing happened to me, but then again, we probably used different dye brands...if this still doesn't work, i suggest you should prepare and dye it another color if you truly don't want your hair brown. I hope you get your natural coloration of hair back ;D

My hair is brown and I want my natural black back?

If you let it grow out you will just have black roots and brown ends. You need to have it colored back to black with a semi-permanent color! NOT PERMANENT because it being semi- will fade a little after a while, but will never wash out back to brown...it fades just enough so that when your natural black comes back in the transition is softer and you won't have a big line of demarcation.

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

i have dirty blond hair and a few bleach blonde highlights in but i want my hair brown ....not dark like a chocolate brown

BUT will it go grey ?

my hair now

but i dont want it to go

http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbvi...

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

if its done professionally you dont have anything to worry about

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

probably not if you do it properly

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

read the paper that comes with the packet....

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

NOT AS LONG AS YOU DONT USE AN ASH BLONDE COLOR

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

no...that can't happen unless you have an idiot do it. v.v''

I'm doing hairing coloring at the moment, it looks like your natural hair color is maybe a 6, 7ish. and your going to try to move up about 3 hair color and your don't need to bleach it at all. BUT! If you have highlights I suggest that you foil them, or fill. Because you will get an ashy tint to your hair if you don't and ash usual shows up in the color of green. Make sure you get it don't by someone good. and also if your hair is damanaged get some CAT ( which is alll protein) and treated it first, if you go to a hair dresser let them know you want a CAT treatment first. Because it helps you to maintain your hair keep it good, and also shine.

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

You CANNOT put brown directly over blonde hair it will turn out grey/green. If you want to do it yourself then you need to put red over the blonde first then you can put the brown in.

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

It wont look grey. Your hairdresser will pick a good dye for your hair tone. I think it will look good. I dyed my hair brown once but just temporary dye to look like cleopatra it turned a bit blacky but not grey.

I want to dye my hair brown .... i have blonde hair .... will it go grey ?

well, are you sure you'd look good w/ the color? Try the color u want w/ a wig. NEVER use a box UNLESS it is 2-3 shades lighter or darker then your natural. I know this cuz i was a brunette tried blonde box dye, you know the rest. So get it done in a salon or by a friend who has a degree in Beauty.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

black hair rocks especially if ur Asian like me

keep it
