Dyed hair brown. rinse to keep it dark?

I dyed over my blonde hair to a darkdark brown. However, it's fading pretty fast and I want to keep it dark without dying again for as long as possible to prevent damage.

I've heard of john freida color glaze and sunsilk color boost both for dark brunettes. Does either one work really well?

Are there other dark rinses I can use?! Help?

Look for Artec color shampoo and conditioner in Walnut in a beauty supply. They actually have color in them, so it deposits color in your hair with use. They're great.

i have seen at the grocery store special shampoo for those who have color treated hair. I would look into getting one of those.

Try those, but don't wash the hair too frequently. No matter what, water and the sun will fade color. Try using a silk or immitation silk pillow to keep friction down during the night and also to keep your hair easier to manage between washings.

Any shampoo with Sodium Laureth Sulfate/SLS in it will strip your hair, including the color, fading it fast. You need to look at the ingredient list. Pretty much all shampoos have it, including the so-called color-care ones. You will have to find a shampoo at a natural food store. Even some of those still have SLS so read the ingredient list carefully.

You can also try to wash your hair less. Bumble and Bumble has a colored hair powder for between washings.

Keeping your hair as healthy as possible will make it look it's best. Deep conditioners at least once a week and not overdoing the styling (heat from hairdryers, irons, etc.)

I hope that this helps, good luck!
