They can be if they are done right. I wouldn't do them myself, though. I would go to a reputable salon and pay to have them done the right way.

yeah, just don't go too blonde...do highlights (which are basically blonde streaks, but in your case would be light brown streaks).

blond streaks will look nice...don't go too dark or thick tho....also a golden blond...or honey maybe. Just don't go to heavy because that sometimes makes people look trashy.

i think it will look really nice because dark brown does go with blonde or light brown. why don't you get temporary streaks and if you don't like it then try a different color.

My mum has short brown hair and she as blonde high lights put in. Obviously she couldn't have streaks because her hair isn't long enough, but the highlights look good, so go for it.

However, have it done at a good professional salon so it comes out good.

It depends on just how dark you are talking about. Really dark dark hair doesn't look good heavily streaked. Maybe just a couple of steaks down the sides. A lot depends on how it is cut and if it is curly or straight. Get it done by a pro or get ready for orange or lemon. Try it first....

Hair color is kind of like a tatoo. What is cool to one person is not cool to another. So don't be too afraid, but don't be rash either.

For a low-risk shot at this, take a digital photo of yourself and put it on your computer. Go get GIMP (a free digital editor) and learn how to change the colors in the picture. It's not that hard to do a fair job, but digital photo editing is a whole business unto itself. So do a rough cut version see if it freaks you out.

For an even better prediction, some higher end salons have special software for this that will do a superb job - just more expensive. Either way, you can see it before you wear it! ;-)

Honey honey.. blond is totally last year. i am sure it looks cute but not if you have really dark hair. red and warm golden tones are in! do that i'm sure it will look lovely! red is sexy!
