What CRAZY FUN color would look best in my long dark brown hair for the summertime!?

I'm a cheerleader.... i'm crazy, funny and spunky! always looking for fun and change. This summer i want to put some FUN colored streaks in my hair. or perhaps a crazy color underneath. I've got long dark brown wavy/curly hair 4 or 5 inches past my shoulders and layered!....brownish/hazel eyes.... and im a white girl!! haha.... what color would look best?? any ideas? i was thinking red.. but way too many peopel have it! i want something different! maybe pink? would that look good? all over my hair or in little streaks? i dont know what will look the best! help! im clueless!

If you want to get a good color in, you need to bleach the areas you want to color first. I would go with larger chunks as opposed to small highlights. Pink looks fine, a medium bright blue looks good too. Just don't dye it green, it never turns out the way you think it will.

After you bleach the color out, wait 7-10 days and use an intensive therapy conditioner. That will restore your hair, and make it safe to dye any funky color you like.... I am a fan of Manic Panic myself, but there are plenty of good colors out there.

fairer skinned people with darker hair tend to look better with darker streaks. you should try dark or bright blue lowlights in you layers.

My old hair sounds like yours. When I had it, (I have side-swept bangs, you should look into getting them!) I wanted to get a under-layer color for my hair. Normally people do it black, or dark brown; but I wanted hot pink. Toxic green is cute too. Maybe a bubbly blue. I HATE streaks, but you could definatley pick out a crazy color and do 1 or 2 random chunks of it. Right now I have a chunky bob cut w/ side swept bangs that brushes my shoulders. And I thought about dying it black w/ some bleachy blonde chunks, maybe you should do that! Good luck, have fun!!! =)

i am almost exactly like you! im a cheerleader and im CRAZY! i am white (haha) i have curly brown hair in layers and its a couple inches past my shoulders. i put blue streaks in my hair and it was so cool!!! not dark blue, not baby blue, but kinda in between! i got tons of compliments!
