its better to get it done professionally...

since the hair is dark chances are you will not get an effect of blue at all

and if you bleach chances are your hair will turn green or the wrong shade of blue....TRUST ME it happend to me which sucked!!!!

you have to bleach it but bleaching is no joke you have to know how to do it.

or do the longer way keep on lighting it until it turns to the perfect blonde but its a very long process if you lighten it....

i talked to a girl who worked at a hair product store and asked her what blonde do i need to be to get the blue hair color i wanted and she told me what type of blonde and what products i can use for the blue...

so ask someone who works for that or for an even better opinion ask a hair stylist.

bleach it 2-3 days before you try to dye it blue. Try manic panic hair dyes, they work best on bleached hair.
