I'm a guy who has greenish-blueish eyes and very light brown straight hair (I'm central-northern European). Are these features unattractive to American girls? I keep hearing that girls want a guy with dark features. Is this true? Would a girl rather go out with a guy with black hair and dark brown eyes?

I want to approach this a little differently: Instead of saying what girls do like, what features/character traits in a guy do girls absolutely loath? Ex. - I guess the thought of green eyes and light brown hair girls here in America find pernicious.

Not to be rude- but for the same reasons a guy would never date a girl with green eyes and light brown hair- I have light brown hair and dark brown eyes, I spiced things up with some highlights and my coworkers noticed. It's all about style and your ability I guess to change what you don't think is right. If you feel that way- see a stylist and ask for some ideas ~! They usually show pictures, I'd just take a picture of what you like and take it to them- they'll spice ya up.

Your looks seem nice. Personally I don't care for redheads and freckles. Bad teeth are a major turn-off. Balding men who try to hide it or compensate with long hair are also gross. Super skinny or overweight guys are bad too.

Hair and eye color are not important. What is unattractive? Bad body and breath odor. You cannot generalize about what attracts girls (American or otherwise) - fortunately, one girl's trash is another's treasure (so to speak).
